60w Bright Idea …

In the past month, I’ve been called out to investigate several trouble shoots that resulted in bulb 💡 replacement 😳… I wish that I could say that I’m surprised, but I’ll never under estimate people’s laziness… What could’ve been a $5 investment for the customer, ultimately turned into a $75 service call. As a professional, I cannot afford to come out and investigate for free, and I can only do but so many favors. That being said, do yourself a favor and try replacing your light bulbs 💡 before calling an Electrician. As a home owner or tenant, you should keep extra light bulbs, and only use the appropriate wattage of bulb for the fixture in use per the manufacturers specifications. If the fixtures call for 60 watt light bulbs, then use 60 watt bulbs. Never use a higher wattage bulb in an attempt to achieve more illumination. Over lamping can occur and result in a house fire. All in all, if you ever feel unsure about any issues that may arise, contact a Qualified Electrician, to remedy your situation… ⚡

Wires Wattage Wildlife

Its common to find rodents nesting in electrical equipment/panels due to the heat generated especially when then property is near open fields. Rodents make the mistake of trying to eat the insulation on wiring and wind up cooking themselves. Always be cautious of what you’ll find by wearing ppe (gloves) to protect your skin from any bacteria and keep a hand sanitizer to clean your hands, even though you wore gloves.

Can’t tie a knot, tie a lot!

My old Foreman Bobby Foster would say , that “if you can’t tie a not , tie a lot”. Any Good Electrician should have a few guaranteed knots in their arsenal , that you can rely on when making up heads for cable pulling. Then there’s hoisting and lowering tools , materials , equipment and objects associated with the assembly or disassembly. Check out Ugly’s for electrical references, you can find it at any Home Depot or supply house.
